Yuletide Medieval Feast

This outstanding Madrigal Dinner will be held at the Arlington
Hotel in Oil City. The Madrigal Singers from Clarion University
of Pennsylvania will provide the entertainment. A Medieval
Dinner will be served. Tickets are $25 for Oil City Arts
Council members and $28 for non-members. Tickets will be
available at the Transit Fine Arts Gallery and from Oil City Arts

Drexel's 18th Annual Madrigal Dinner

The Drexel Chamber Singers present an evening of Renaissance revelry and a feast fit for a king! Storytellers and jesters will entertain while Drexel instrumentalists perform brass fanfares and harpsichord music during the feast. On this year’s menu: mulled cider, North African pork chop or poached salmon, potage Jacqueline with butternut squash, roasted potatoes, roasted turnips, peas, artisanal bread, and upside down warm apple tart. Afterwards, the Chamber Singers will delight guests with sounds of Elizabethan Madrigals, French chansons, English Ballatas and lute songs--the popular music of the period.
Tickets for this journey back in time cost $21.95 and must be purchased in advance.
Harrisburg Choral Society HCS Madrigal Dinner Fundraiser
Sunday, April 19, 2009 4:00PM at the Peter Allen House, Dauphin, PA.
Trumpeter and herald announce guests in this historic setting. Renaissance-clad lords and ladies sing of Spring, youthful love and nature. Troubadours serve while harpsichord and recorder serenade. Conductor Robert Hart Baker silent-auctions his services as chef , waiter, and dish-washer!
